I’ve always believed that the heart of Seoul isn’t found in guidebooks or trendy spots, but in the quiet corners — the tiny restaurants, hidden cafés, and backstreets that tell their own stories. Hidden Seoul Food began as my way of sharing those discoveries — places I’ve stumbled upon by chance, meals that surprised me, and spaces that capture the city’s soul. This blog is for anyone who loves exploring what’s unseen, tasting what’s forgotten, and finding beauty in the hidden sides of Seoul.

NETZ Kaffeehaus: A Hidden Café Gem in Seoul ☕
NETZ kaffeehaus
Seoul, Jung District, Toegye-ro 41-gil, 22
Tucked right next to Sewoon Sangga, the historic electronics shopping center in Seoul, inside an old, slightly run-down building, lies a hidden café gem that’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. I almost walked right past the narrow entrance and second-guessed myself, climbing the dim stairway to the second floor.
The moment I pushed open the door, it felt like I had stepped into a trendy café in Seongsu. The space is beautifully designed — warm, minimal, and effortlessly stylish. Soft lighting, earthy tones, and curated details create an inviting, cozy atmosphere, enhanced by the easygoing rock music playing in the background. It’s a place built for lingering.
What truly sets this place apart is the drink menu. I went with the champagne and vinegar drink — which might sound strange at first — but it was incredibly refreshing and surprisingly well-balanced. Even the welcome water, served in a small crystal whiskey glass, made an impression. Every detail feels intentional.
I instantly fell in love with the vibe and honestly didn’t want to leave. NETZ Kaffeehaus is a true hidden spot worth seeking out.
