I’ve always believed that the heart of Seoul isn’t found in guidebooks or trendy spots, but in the quiet corners — the tiny restaurants, hidden cafés, and backstreets that tell their own stories. Hidden Seoul Food began as my way of sharing those discoveries — places I’ve stumbled upon by chance, meals that surprised me, and spaces that capture the city’s soul. This blog is for anyone who loves exploring what’s unseen, tasting what’s forgotten, and finding beauty in the hidden sides of Seoul.

URT Vegan Restaurant: Rainy Day Comfort 🌧️🥪
URT Vegan Restaurant & Bakery
Seoul, Mapo-gu, World Cup buk-ro 7-gil, 34 1fl
It’s raining, but I couldn’t resist venturing out. I love this kind of weather, so I decided to sit outside and enjoy the rhythm of the falling rain instead of listening to music indoors. Something is soothing about sipping coffee or nibbling a meal while watching raindrops dance on the pavement.
I savored a sourdough sandwich with roasted mushrooms and native bean hummus — and honestly, the mushrooms are incredible even without any meat! The combination of earthy roasted flavors, creamy hummus, and perfectly toasted sourdough makes every bite a delight. The sandwich is simple, satisfying, and thoughtfully prepared — exactly the kind of meal that makes a rainy day feel cozy and indulgent.
URT also has a tempting selection of pastries, perfect for pairing with a warm drink or taking home for later. I really enjoy the atmosphere here — calm, welcoming, and full of subtle details that make a meal feel special.
If you’re looking for a vegan spot that delivers both flavor and ambiance, URT is a must-visit — rain or shine.
