I’ve always believed that the heart of Seoul isn’t found in guidebooks or trendy spots, but in the quiet corners — the tiny restaurants, hidden cafés, and backstreets that tell their own stories. Hidden Seoul Food began as my way of sharing those discoveries — places I’ve stumbled upon by chance, meals that surprised me, and spaces that capture the city’s soul. This blog is for anyone who loves exploring what’s unseen, tasting what’s forgotten, and finding beauty in the hidden sides of Seoul.

Grill Doha: A Memorable Meal After a Magical Musical 🎭🍴
Grill Doha
35 B1 Itaewon-ro 55ga-gil, Yongsan District, Seoul
After thirteen long years of anticipation, the original cast of Wicked finally came to Korea, and seeing their performance was nothing short of magical. The energy, talent, and storytelling left me in awe — I couldn’t have asked for a better theater experience. And what pairs more perfectly with a phenomenal musical than a memorable meal afterward?
I chose Grill Doha, which had recently relocated, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The new space is refined and elegant, striking a beautiful balance between modern sophistication and warm, inviting comfort. From start to finish, the experience was seamless — attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere, and dishes that impressed with both flavor and presentation.
The meal began with creamy, well-seasoned hummus — smooth, rich, and satisfying. Next came the lamb steak, tender and perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor. The freshly baked naan was soft with just the right hint of char, making every bite a perfect combination. Each dish reflected care and quality, making the dinner feel just as special as the musical itself.
A fantastic performance paired with an equally fantastic meal — truly an evening to remember.
