I’ve always believed that the heart of Seoul isn’t found in guidebooks or trendy spots, but in the quiet corners — the tiny restaurants, hidden cafés, and backstreets that tell their own stories. Hidden Seoul Food began as my way of sharing those discoveries — places I’ve stumbled upon by chance, meals that surprised me, and spaces that capture the city’s soul. This blog is for anyone who loves exploring what’s unseen, tasting what’s forgotten, and finding beauty in the hidden sides of Seoul.

Dance Dance Dance Sandwich: Simple, Thoughtful, and Delicious 🥪✨
Dance Dance Dance
67 Dokseodang-ro, Yongsan District, Seoul
This little sandwich shop has earned a reputation as a hip spot in the neighborhood — apparently a favorite among trendy locals and even runners grabbing a post-workout bite. While I don’t consider myself particularly hip, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to see what all the buzz was about.
The space itself is tiny, with just a narrow bar counter along the window that seats four at most. When I arrived, all the spots were taken, so I had to sit outside. Luckily, I found a spot in the building’s shade. Even under the relentless summer sun, a gentle breeze made the experience surprisingly pleasant.
As for the sandwiches — simple at first glance, but unexpectedly impressive once you take a bite. They don’t rely on flashy presentation or gimmicks; instead, their uniqueness comes from the careful choice of ingredients and the subtle layering of flavors. Each bite is thoughtful and satisfying, proving that great sandwiches don’t need to shout to be memorable.
It’s easy to see why the “hip crowd” flocks here, but honestly, the sandwiches speak for themselves. Trendy or not, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.
